The University of Ghana basketball court hosted the inaugural All Access Africa Basketball Clinic. The camp had Phoenix Suns Anthony “T.J” Warren and Golden Warriors take youngsters through skills and drills.
Pulse Sports was at the event and spoke to Anthony T.J Warren on his assessment of Ghana Basketball and how youngsters in Ghana who aspire to be in NBA.

T.J Warren paying his first visit to Ghana and Africa in general had this to say on his first impression of young Ghana basketball talents.

“My first impression is these kids who are willing to listen and learn and that is good for development. They seem to have a lot of energy and we looking forward to work more with these kids.”

He then went on to talk about his presence alongside David West can help improve the young ones’ development in the game.
“The game is global now. I am sure these kids watch the best basketball players in the NBA and want to be like them. When I was growing up I was in their shoes aspiring to be a great basketball player in the NBA.”. I think myself and David West being here to serve as role models will be helpful for them. All they need is opportunities,” Warren affirmed.
T.J Warren had an advice for the young ones who wanted to break into the NBA.
“They should just continue to work hard and have a positive mentality towards the game. They should always believe in themselves. People will tell you cannot do it but just stay on course and focus you can achieve it.”
T.J Warren joined the Phoenix Suns in 2014 and his Point per game keeps increasing every season he did share his aspirations for the coming season.
“I will just continue to be myself and get better. I get better every season and I willlike to continue that. In doingthatI will just needtoaddsomebitsandpiecestomygame thatwill helpmethisseason.”
T.J Warren averaged 6.1, 11.0 and 14.0 points per game in his three respective seasons in the NBA.
The All Access Basketball Clinic was supported by the Ghana Basketball Association, African Union, Joy News, Kempinski Hotel, Yummy Noodles, Veriown and Stanbic Bank.
